ANNOUNCEMENT The Purdue University Department of Sociology and Anthropology
seeks an anthropological archaeologist specializing in Old World complex
societies for a tenure-track, full-time appointment at the assistant
professor level. Preference will be for candidates who share the
department's commitment to a four-field approach to anthropology, and whose
research and teaching add to interests currently represented on the
anthropology faculty. Send a cover letter stating research and teaching

The Department of Anthropology at Georgia State University invites
applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in archaeology, to begin
August 2007. The successful candidate will have an active research program
and be able to teach introductory courses in archaeology and general
anthropology, and upper division and graduate courses in archaeological
methods and theory. A research focus in prehistory and ability to conduct a
summer field school are highly desirable. Ph.D. is required at the time of
