Towards Sustainability
Integrated Technological Practices for Human Heritage and Cultural Memory
Dear Colleague,
The VAST2008 Program Committee welcomes and encourages your participation on
this event, and wishes to update you on the following topics regarding the
up-coming Symposium and EUROGRAPHICS Workshop, in Braga-Portugal, 2-5
December 2008:
1. The **early** registration deadline was extended until the 13th
October; note the costs will considerably increase after this date.
2. A preliminary program is already available, and the list of accepted
papers will be advertised.
3. Tuesday is reserved for Workshops, and some of the proposed ones may
be atractive for researchers and professionals.
3. The Multicert company offers the DVD on Coa Valley (mentioned on the
website) to all VAST delegates (including students).
4. Special deals were negociated with hotels, and several rooms are
already reserved for VAST 2008; please book accommodation at the same time
you register to guarantee a room.
5. Travel arrangements: please book your flight to Oporto airport (40Km
away) as soon as possible to get a cheap deal; from the airport to Braga
city centre just get the Metro to Campanha railway station and then the
suburban train to Braga (overall fare less than 5 euros).

- it is being updated very frequently, and you can register for RSS
feeds;
- you can not miss the field trip/excursion to Coa Valley (250km from
Braga) at the end of the Symposium: it is a unique opportunity to visit a
one of a kind place in the world.
