EXARC is the international organisation of Archaeological Open Air Museums and other facilities involved in Experimental Archaeology. It is our aim to establish a high standard of both scientific research and public presentation. The idea of international exchange of knowledge, human resources, publications and facsimiles is to improve the quality of work for all associated members. It is not our intention to exclude anyone who does not meet our high standards concerning the quality of museums work. We rather want to encourage and incorporate other institutions conducting Experimental Archaeology and help them to a higher level.

Star!Guide to the Archeological Open Air Museums in Europe
An innovative guide book
This book, originally published by liveARCH, counts over 200 descriptions and photos of archaeological open air museums across Europe. Whether you like to plan a trip or just stay in your armchair, this offers a journey to special places where the past comes to life through activities, (re)constructions and live interpretation.
EXARC is looking into the possibillity for a 2nd print of this guide although the first print is still available. If you are interested in a single copy, please contact us.
