Announcing SPARC

We are pleased to announce a new initiative, SPARC (Spatial Archaeometry Research Collaborations). SPARC is an NSF-funded program at the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST) of the University of Arkansas dedicated to promoting geospatial research in archaeology. SPARC offers direct support to archaeological projects through awards in three categories:

• Fieldwork: On-site data collection

• Data & Analytics: Preparation, processing and analysis of geospatial data

• Publication: Presentation, publication and archiving of complex geospatial datasets

In addition, you can learn about the latest technologies and their archaeological applications through residencies at CAST or through our online resources and periodic webinars. You can also connect with potential collaborators or develop projects in partnership with SPARC.
