A 22 de Maio arranca o alkantara festival 2008 com o espectáculo de
abertura Tempest II de Lemi Ponifasio (Nova Zelândia), às
21h00 no São Luiz Teatro Municipal. O espectáculo será seguido por um cocktail
no Jardim de Inverno e, à meia-noite, um concerto surpresa. A seguir há festa.
alkantara festival irá decorrer entre 22 de Maio e 8 de
Junho. Em 17 dias apresentamos em Lisboa 26 espectáculos, em 78 sessões de
artistas vindos de Portugal, Austrália, Índia, Turquia, Nova Zelândia,
República Democrática do Congo, Bélgica, Holanda, Grã-Bretanha, Suíça, EUA,
Alemanha, Argentina, República Checa, Brasil, Líbano, França, Argélia e
Colómbia, em 17 teatros e espaços em Lisboa (Auditório Carlos Paredes, Castelo
de São Jorge, Centro Cultural de Belém, Culturgest, Espaço Alkantara, Espaço
Land, Hospital Miguel Bombarda, Museu da Electricidade/Central Tejo, Museu do
Oriente, Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, Maria Matos Teatro Municipal, São Luiz
Teatro Municipal, Politécnica, Teatro Meriodional).

On May 22nd alkantara festival 2008 opens
at São Luiz Teatro Municipal, with the performance Tempest II by
Lemi Ponifasio (New Zealand). The show will be followed by a cocktail and a
surprise midnight concert.
Between 22 May and 8 June 2008, alkantara festival once again links Lisbon to the world. Featuring a program of
adventurous and innovative artistic works, the festival presents 26
performances by artists coming from Portugal, Australia, India, Turkey, New
Zealand, Democratic Republic of Congo, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Switzerland,
USA, Germany, Argentina, Czech Republic, Brazil, Lebanon, France, China,
Algeria and Columbia, in 17 venues and spaces all over the city (Auditório
Carlos Paredes, Castelo de São Jorge, Centro Cultural de Belém, Culturgest,
Espaço Alkantara, Espaço Land, Hospital Miguel Bombarda, Museu da

Até ao próximo dia 7 de Maio estão abertas inscrições
para dois workshops de formação e criação de teatro orientados por Faustin
Linyekula (20 a 28 de Maio) e por Pavol Liska & Kelly Copper (22 a 31 de
Maio), realizados no âmbito do projecto “estúdios”. O resultado é apresentado
em duas sessões abertas ao público no alkantara festival.

Tiago Rodrigues e Rabih Mroué apresentam a peça Yesterday’s man (co-produzido por alkantara, no âmbito do
projecto Lugares Imaginários) no espaço DeVIR/CAPa em Faro nos dias 16 e 17 de
Maio pelas 21h30.
De 27 a 30 de Maio, Yesterday’s man será apresentado na Politécnica, no
âmbito do alkantara festival.

On May 16th and 17th Tiago Rodrigues (Portugal) and
Rabih Mroué (Lebanon) present the piece Yesterday’s man (co-produced by alkantara in the framework of the project Sites of
