[Museum] Dean Heritage Centre Disposal of Maps

Dear all,

 

Please can you circulate the following message regarding the disposal of maps from the Dean Heritage Centre’s collection:

 

The Dean Heritage Centre is currently in the process of disposing of a number of maps which fall outside its collecting remit or are in poor condition and duplicated within the collection. 

 

The Centre wishes to dispose of x232, 1:2500 SO maps, x1, 6” OS map of Rudford (OS 72 SE) and x1, 2.5” map of Twigworth (32/82), by free gift or transfer to other museums (first refusal will be given to Accredited Museums).

 

The maps mainly cover areas of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire.

The recipient museum would need to collect the maps or pay postage/courier costs.
