The EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems (EWG-DSS),
in cooperation with the University of Liverpool in the UK, invites you to participate
on the “EWG-DSS Liverpool-2011 Workshop" on Decision Support Systems &
Operations Management Trends and Solutions in Industries in the period of
April 12th to April 13th, 2012.
The purpose of this Workshop is to provide an informal setting in which the
participants, professionals of the research and application areas related
to Decision Support, will have the opportunity to discuss technical,
methodological and social aspects for developing DSSs applied to Industrial solutions.
The members of the EWG-DSS are expected to participate and to encourage
the participation of other related professionals, so that further collaboration
can be promoted on a larger scale during the workshop. The workshop will
also embed a business meeting of the Euro Working Group on DSS at its last session.
The “EWG-DSS Liverpool-2012 Workshop" will take place at the School of Management,
at the University of Liverpool (Chatham Building, Chatham Street, L69 7ZH,Liverpool, UK).
It can be located at reference number 427 on the
campus maps.
Contributions:
We encourage the submission of papers addressing topics in research
and application of Decision Support Systems (DSS). Authors are requested to submit
Extended Abstracts (~ 6 A4 pages) in electronic form (MS-Word and PDF)

Submissions may include, among others, the following topics:
- Decision-Making approaches for Operations Management
- Collaborative Decision-Making in Industries
- Integrated DSS for global manufacturing
- DSS supported by simulation and optimization approaches

- DSS key issues for Mass Customisation and Co-Innovation in Manufacturing Networks
- Knowledge Management and DSS in Industries
- DSS for lean thinking in process industries
- DSS for Outsourcing, Logistic and Supply Chain Management
- DSS Experiences, Management, and Education
- Methods, Languages and Tools to support Decision Making
Proposals for panel or demo presentations in special sessions are very welcome.

- Special Issue of the "Production Planning & Control Journal (PPC)", ISSN: 0953-7287, Taylor &
Francis Group.
This publication will consist of thoroughly revised final papers selected from the Workshop.
Guest Editors: Jorge E. Hernández, Andrew Lyons, Pascale Zaraté, Rita Ribeiro.
- After the Workshop some selected papers will be recommended for publication in the
