Tema: "The effect of early entrepreneurship education: Evidence from a
randomized field experiment"

Palestrante: Laura Rosendahl Huber (Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship,
University of Amsterdam). Trabalho conjunto com Randolph Sloof e Mirjam
van Praag.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of
entrepreneurship education for children. We conduct a randomized field
experiment using a leading entrepreneurship education program taught in
the final grade of primary schools all over the world. In this paper we:
(1) examine the effectiveness of early entrepreneurship education, (2)
focus on skill development of both cognitive and non-cognitive skills in
entrepreneurship and (3) use a difference-in-differences framework to
estimate unbiased effects. The results on the development of
entrepreneurial skills suggest that cognitive entrepreneurial skills are
unaffected by this early entrepreneurship education program. However, the
program has a significantly positive effect on non-cognitive
entrepreneurial skills.
