Call for Papers
Special issue on “Decision Support Systems”

The International Transactions in Operational Research (ITOR) will publish
a Special Issue dedicated to conceptual and operational developments in
Decision Support Systems (DSS), as well as to their applications. DSS are
considered here in a broad sense, i.e. as interactive computer based
systems that support decision making activities increasing the
effectiveness of the decision making effort. We are particularly
interested on Model-Driven Decision Support Systems, i.e. DSS
incorporating OR models.
Although we strongly encourage the submission of papers presented at the
XVI Latin-Ibero-American Conference on Operations Research (CLAIO) that
took place in Rio de Janeiro from September 24 to 28, 2012, this Call for
Papers is also open to the entire community of academics and
practitioners.
All papers will be peer-reviewed according to the editorial policy of ITOR
(http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/118505725/home), published by
the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS).
Papers should be original, unpublished, and not currently under
consideration for publication elsewhere. They should be prepared according
to the instructions to authors that can be found in the journal homepage.
Authors should upload their contributions using the submission site
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/itor, indicating in their cover letter
that the paper is intended for this special issue.
The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2013. Other inquiries should be
