Computational Optimization and Applications (COA 2014)
Workshop at
International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications (ICCSA 2014) -- http://www.iccsa.org/ -- University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal, June 30 - July 3, 2014.
TOPICS
======
The scope of this session is to bring together scientists working in Computational Optimization and Applications in science and engineering.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* Computational Optimization: new issues in computational algorithms for continuous and discrete optimization; deterministic and stochastic algorithms, nature-inspired algorithms and other metaheuristic algorithms for solving optimization problems.
* Applications: case studies in all areas of sciences, engineering and industry, including economics, medicine, biology, earth sciences and social sciences.

PROCEEDINGS
============
The proceedings of the COA 2014 Workshop will appear in the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
==================
The paper must be camera-ready, between 10 and 16 pages long and formatted according to the LNCS rules (http://www.iccsa.org/authors-instructions).
To submit a paper, please connect to the submission page (http://ess.iccsa.org/) from the link available at the ICCSA 2014 web site. Only papers submitted through the electronic system and formatted according to LNCS rules (between 10-16 pages) will be considered for reviewing and publication.
The paper must deal with original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be reviewed by at least three experts in the relevant field.
Please pay attention, when submitting your contribution to select the right entry “Computational Optimization and Applications — COA 2014” in the listbox shown in the submission form.
