Call for Papers

Operations Research for Health Care

Special Issue for ORAHS 2014 Conference

 

Guest Editors:

M. Eugénia Captivo, Inês Marques, Margarida Moz

 

The special issue for Operational Research Applied to Health Services (ORAHS) 2014 Conference that will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, is aiming at collecting high quality papers presented during the conference. Accordingly to the conference theme, we are particularly interested in publishing papers with special focus on "For Better Practices in Health Care Management", to be addressed in one of the following topics:

 

•     Cancer Treatment Planning

•     Decision Support

•     Disease Modeling and Policy

•     Emergency Department Modeling

•     Healthcare Resource Planning

•     Healthcare Supply Chains

•     Improving Healthcare Delivery

•     Location Problems in Health Care

•     Modeling & Optimizing in Emergency Medical Systems

•     Modeling Infectious Diseases

•     Modeling Length of Stay

•     Operating Room Planning & Scheduling

•     OR Methodologies for Home Care

•     Patient Scheduling

•     Performance Evaluation

•     Public Health Policy

•     Screening and Prevention

•     Workforce Scheduling

 
We invite researchers to submit their work to this special issue as an opportunity for publishing on a high quality journal.


Submissions

Please submit your full papers for Operations Research for Health Care (ORHC) through
http://ees.elsevier.com/orhc/

Select the article type option for special issue from the drop down menu "Special Issue: ORAHS 2014".

Deadline for special issue submissions is November 1, 2014. The targeted date for publication is August 2015.
