Call for Papers/Abstracts and Invited Session Proposals in the stream CONTAINER TERMINALS

 

27^rd EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON OPERATIONAL RESEARCH (EURO 2015)

Glasgow, UK/Scotland, July 12^th – 15^th, 2015 (www.euro2015.org)

 

 

Focus and Objectives

 

The primary aim of this stream at EURO2015 is to discuss the very recent developments in container transportation systems and terminal logistics. We are particularly interested in contributions dealing with quantitative analysis, OR applications and decision support systems in container ports. Topics of your talk might include but are not limited to the following issues:

 

·         Layout Planning and Terminal Design

·         Simulation Models and Terminal Operating Systems

·         Berth Planning and Quay Crane Scheduling

·         Storage Allocation and Yard Management

·         Horizontal Transport Systems

·         Container Stowage Planning

·         Hinterland Transportation

 

 

Abstracts

 

Abstracts must be written in English and contain no more than 600 characters. The abstracts submission process of EURO 2015 has already started. It will close on March 16^th, 2015. To submit a paper, you must login on www.euro-online.org/conf/euro27. You may enter the submission code c379f1e5 for directly assigning your talk to the stream on container terminals. Notification of acceptance is by March 31^th, 2015.

 

 

Invited Sessions

 

You are also invited to organize a session in the Container Terminal stream. Invited Session Proposals are welcome by January 31^st, 2015.
