Special Session: Optimization in the SDG context

Nowadays optimization significantly contributes to the success of companies. Our vision is that they can also have the same potential to contribute to non-profit organizations, humanitarian issues and societal challenges. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are 17 goals promoted by United Nations with the aim of create balance between social, economic and environmental sustainability. It comprises several aspects of society, such as health, education, clean energy and water, innovation and infrastructures, industry and sustainable cities, among others.  Thus, research works on optimization methods applied to non-profit organizations or SDG, are welcome.

 

Topics (but not limited to)

Optimization; case studies in non-profit organizations, green industry, applications of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
