Dear Colleagues, 

 It is with pleasure that we announce that the 2nd Methods & Techniques for Studying Paleoenvironments Meeting (METECH) will be held at the University of Algarve between the 1st and the 5th of April 2024. This meeting aims to promote, disseminate and share experiences, knowledge and results of scientific research among different stakeholders interested in the use of interdisciplinary methods and techniques applied in Quaternary Studies, favouring cooperation between researchers from different disciplines. 

  The meeting themes will be: 

  • Environmental reconstructions from the Pleistocene to the Anthropocene; 
  • Human-environment interactions and consequences; 
  • Key human, climate and environmental transitions; 
  • Methods and proxies applied to quaternary research.
