Dear colleagues, The practice of archaeology is becoming increasingly globalised. How are these changes impacting archaeology in the Iberian Peninsula? To consider this, we thought it important to create a safe space to discuss current issues and ask a few questions: For whom is Iberian archaeology? Who benefits, and who should benefit, from the knowledge gained from archaeological investigations in Spain and Portugal? How have international movements and concerns, such as populism, new authoritarianisms, feminism, climate change, #MeToo, decolonization, and Black Lives Matter, shaped contemporary archaeology in Spain and Portugal? How has archaeological research in Spain and Portugal shaped these global debates, discussions, and developments in archaeology? This forum will bring together colleagues diverse backgrounds, whose education, research, or employment has involved crossing national borders. More updates soon—stay tuned! Best, Katina and Rui
