OPEN CALL FOR CONTRACTS
We would like to draw your attention to an open call for individual funding of 500 contracts directed to PhD Researchers from all scientific areas. This call was recently released by the Portuguese Science Foundation (FCT) and is intended to nationals, foreigners and stateless PhDs, holders of a scientific career in any area, aiming to develop their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, namely on R&D units funded by FCT. This call will be open from January 19, 2018 until 5:00 PM (Lisbon time) on February 12, 2018.
The Research Centre for Anthropology and Health - CIAS (http://cias.uc.pt), a FCT funded R&D unit in the field of Biological Anthropology located at the University of Coimbra (www.uc.pt), encourages prospective candidates interested in CIAS as their host institution to send a research plan proposal to CIAS's coordinator Prof. Cristina Padez (email: cpadez@antrop.uc.pt), no later than 29th of January 2018. The research proposal should be written in English, according to the opening notice (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/contratacaodoutorados/empregocientifico/docs/AAC_Emprego_Cientifico_Apoio_Individual.pdf), and contain the following information:
1. CV
2. Motivation letter
3. Category for which the researcher is applying (junior, auxiliary, principal or coordinator)
4. Research plan aligned both with CIA’s strategic objectives (http://cias.uc.pt/about-us/objectives/) and with one or more items from the 2030 Agenda – Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/).
