Dear All,

News of a potentially very important breakthrough in scientific dating techniques, so far tested on brick back to the Roman period, but which might in future be applied to pottery.

Could be vitally important for the Early Iron Age, where radiocarbon is of little use due to the plateau in the calibration curve from c. 800-400 BC.
