VI Colóquio internacional Imagética

Comunidade(s): representações e significados ontem e hoje

Num espaço de exposição e de debate de pesquisas procura-se desenvolver o diálogo científico com especialistas de épocas e áreas diversas  (da História e da Cultura, Arqueologia e História da Arte, Filosofia, Literatura e Cinema, à Linguística, à Economia, à Sociologia e ao Direito, à Saúde e à Antropologia), em reflexões epistemológicas e novas experiências metodológicas.

 

Assim, percorrendo em Colóquio internacional uma mais longa duração e experiências interdisciplinares, dinamiza-se e renova-se um trabalho de equipa que reúne em Projecto de investigação pesquisadores e formandos que estudam representações, símbolos e ícones, em fontes textuais e pictóricas, em monumentos e em artefactos, do século XV ao XXI. Nesse sentido constituiu-se uma comissão científica que integra com os investigadores da equipa um número de especialistas externos.

 

A coordenação científica do Encontro no âmbito do Programa de Estudos Imagética (desde 2005, investigação em coordenação com níveis superiores de ensino) e o Centro de História da Universidade de Lisboa assumem, uma vez mais, o combate, em diferentes frentes de acção, pela interacção de investigadores, redes e instituições. Trata-se de um espaço de debate de saberes com propósitos também pedagógicos e culturais.

 

Com a escolha do tema Comunidade / Comunidades e dando continuidade a encontros científicos anteriores, valoriza-se uma reflexão onde questões de fundo evidenciam o tema da consciência histórica, individual e colectiva, das relações sociais, da relação com a natureza e com o transcendental, do indivíduo na sua pluridimensão étnica e social e das (in)definições identitárias.

 

Tópicos de reflexão:

 

1 - O indivíduo em comunidade

- integração social do indivíduo em organização com princípios normativos, da família à tribo, ao colégio, à república; em associações económicas, religiosas, políticas, mistas; com papel conduzido versus actividade espontânea; resistências.

 

2 - Do singular às utopias do universal

- do indivíduo e do grupo a redes e interconexões; formas de socialização; pensar impérios; circuitos de informação, saberes e técnicas de comunicação (material e digital).

 

3 - Comunhão em ambiente multicultural

- valores e tradições numa busca de comunhão com o cosmos e manifestações espirituais; vocação e missão versus sentidos do humano; tensões e revoltas face à intolerância religiosa.

 

4 - Diásporas e metamorfoses

- migrações; evolução processual da comunidade, conservação e mutação; fronteiras; sincretismos.

 

Numa aposta no aprofundamento científico interdisciplinar apela-se a estudiosos de diferentes instituições, escolas e centros de investigação para que participem individualmente ou em grupo e, sempre que oportuno, proponham trabalho de rede e colaboração protocolar.

6^th International Conference on Imagetics

Community (ies): Yesterday and today's representations and meanings

In this presentation and debate venue a science dialogue with scholars from different fields (History, Culture, Archeology, Art History, Philosophy, Literature, Cinema, Linguistics, Economics, Sociology, Law, Health and Anthropology) will crop up, allowing epistemological reflection and new method approaches.

 

As we follow this inter-disciplinary experience in an international meeting environment a team work will naturally spring as a Research Project with researchers and students who are on symbols and icons, text and image sources, monuments and artefacts from the 15^th to the 21^st centuries. A scientific comission will be established along with the team researchers and external specialists.

 

The scientific coordination of the meeting will lie with the Imagetics Studies Programme (since 2005 a research in coordination with the higher levels of education) and the History Centre of Lisbon University. Once more they both bring together researchers, networks and institutions. The meeting also serves pedagogical and cultural purposes.

 

As we chose Community / Communities as the main theme we follow previous meetings and we value a reflection where deep questions show different themes: historical, individual and collective consciousness of social relations, of the relation with nature, and with the transcendental; of the individual in his/her ethnical and social pluridimensions and identitarian (in)definitions.

 

 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

 

1 -The individual in a community

- The social integration of a person according to normative principles of the family, the tribe, the group, the republic; in economic, religious, political and mixed  associations; as a person lead by someone versus spontaneous activity; resistence.

 

2 - From the singular to the utopias of the universal

- from the individual, the group, to networks and interconnections; ways of socialisation; to think an empire; information circuits, communication knowledge and techniques (both material and digital).

 

3 - Communion in a multicultural environment

- Values and traditions in search of a communion with the cosmos and spiritual manifestations; calling and mission versus a sense of human; tension and uprisings towards religious intolerance.

 

4 - Diasporas and metamorphosis

- migrations; the community's process evolution, conservation and mutation; frontiers; syncretisms.

 

Underlining an interdisciplinary scientific deepening we call upon scholars from different institutions, schools and research centres so they can take part (individually or in group) when seen fit, to propose networking and covenant collaboration.
