We are pleased to announce a one-day Workshop on Efficiency and Productivity Analysis that will take place at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto, on the 25^th September 2006. The theme of this workshop is 'Challenges for Performance Improvement in Education', but papers on other research fields are also welcome.

The workshop will have three plenary sessions, by Professor Emmanuel Thanassoulis from the Aston Business School, by Professor Robert Dyson from the University of Warwick, and by Professor Geraint Johnes from the Lancaster University.

Academics and practitioners are invited to present theoretical or applied papers on the field of productivity and efficiency analysis.

Abstract Submission

For those wishing to present a paper at this workshop please send an abstract to Maria Conceição Portela (csilva@porto.ucp.pt) or Ana Camanho (acamanho@fe.up.pt). The abstract should not exceed 300 words and should include: title, authors, affiliation and email address. The speaker shall be marked with an asterisk.  Abstracts must be written in English. The deadline for abstract submission is 31st May 2006.

Registration and Fees

Those wishing to attend the conference shall register and pay a fee of 30 Euros. The Registration deadline is July 14, 2006.
