Workshop on Operations Research and Decision Making for Forest Fire Risk Management and Disaster Management
Disasters pose significant challenges, and achieving sustainable goals requires informed decision-making to mitigate risks. Specifically, forest fire risk management can be addressed
in three stages: before, during, and after a disaster. In this research workshop, we aim to explore new developments that enhance disaster management by leveraging various decision-making techniques.
The Sustainable Production and Consumption cluster in Centre for Business in Society has organized a research workshop event focused on Operations Research and Decision Making for
Forest Fire Risk Management and Disaster Management. During the workshop, researchers from the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, and other countries will present their recent research findings related to using operations research and decision-making approaches
to mitigate forest fire risk and disaster.
The workshop will not only cover advancements in decision-making techniques for wildfire management but also delve into other relevant factors from a broader perspective. Attendees
have the opportunity to present their research or simply participate in sessions to learn from other presenters.
