Gostaria de partilhar convosco informação sobre duas conferências sobre História da Ciência e História da Química:

the Catalan Society for the History of Science is organizing two activities which may be of interest for some of you.

-the XVI Trobada of the SCHCT, a conference planned to be done in Alicante, will be done now moved in an online format. Registration is free, and papers are given in Catalan, Spanish and English (including a plenary lecture by Christopher Hamlin). For more information see: https://16-thct.iec.cat/

"Dear all

as you may know the 13rd International Conference on History of Chemistry (13ICHC) organized by the EuChemS Working Party on the History of Chemistry (WPHC), in cooperation with Vilnius University, was be announced to be held in Vilnius (Lithuania), from the 18th to the 22nd of May 2021. See: https://www.ichc2021vilnius.chgf.vu.lt/.

Due to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic we should inform you that the conference has been postponed to May 2023, because evolution of the sanitary situation in different areas and countries would prevent many potential contributors from attending the conference in 2021. The new date of May 2023 has been chosen because the WPHC has a biannual schedule, which we would prefer to maintain for organizational issues.

We would also like to inform you that a one-day online activity will be organized by the WPHC at one of the conference days mentioned above. Next to a public online lecture we will then also have our Business Meeting. In this way, we hope to keep the flame of the history of chemistry burning in May 2021. Details will be communicated later.  

As chairs of the Steering Committee we apologize for these changes, and express our gratitude to the local organizers for making possible to meet all of you in Vilnius in May 2023.
