O Herbário da Universidade de Coimbra vai juntar-se mais uma vez à iniciativa global WeDigBio. Esta iniciativa é uma campanha de dados, festival de ciência virtual e oportunidade de divulgação local, tudo em um.
Um dos grandes objectivos é tornar acessíveis os dados sobre a biodiversidade que se encontram "escondidos" nas colecções de História Natural. Para isso, centenas de cidadãos em todo o mundo participam em actividades dinamizadas por várias instituições, colaborando nesta tarefa, ao mesmo tempo que ficam a conhecer as colecções e enriquecem o seu conhecimento sobre a importância da biodiversidade.
O evento organizado no Herbário da Universidade de Coimbra decorrerá no dias:
14 de Abril - 14h00 às 17h00
Haverá uma visita guiada ao Herbário, seguida de uma sessão de transcrição usando a plataforma EXPLORATOR, durante a qual os participantes terão à disposição infusões de várias plantas. Pretende-se que os participantes passem um momento divertido e descontraído, ajudando a libertar milhares de dados sobre os exemplares do Herbário.

The Herbarium of the Univeristy of Coimbra will once again join the WeDigBio global initiative. This initiative is a data campaign, virtual science festival and local outreach opportunity all rolled into one.
One of the main objectives is to make available data on biodiversity that is "hidden" in Natural History collections. Hundreds of citizens around the world participate in activities promoted by various institutes, collaborating in this task, while getting to know the collections and enriching their knowledge about the importance of biodiversity.
The event organized at the Herbarium of the University of Coimbra will take place on:
April 149th - 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
There will be a guided tour to the Herbarium, followed by a transcribing session using the EXPLORATOR platform, during which participants will have at their disposal infusions of various plants. It is intended that the participants have a fun and relaxed time, helping to release thousands of data about the Herbarium specimens.
