Doctoral Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies – Angela Merkel

 

Yuste Foundation opens the deadline to apply for one of the 18 Carlos V European Award – ANGELA MERKEL - European Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies. Each grant is valued at €2,500.

The subject of this edition is “The fortune of being united: Securing and strengthening Europe’s cohesion”.

The beneficiaries must be enrolled in a doctoral programme and be in the phase of preparing their doctoral thesis in History, Political Science, Economics, Law, or other disciplines within the Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as other branches of science, on a topic related to the subject and focus outlined in the call. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in either English or Spanish, with a level of at least B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The deadline for submitting applications is 18 February 2025.

Applications, along with the required documentation, must be submitted electronically by completing the digital form available at the following link: https://www.fundacionyuste.org/en/carlos-v-european-award-grants/ and sending the required documentation to the following email address: becas@fundacionyuste.org

Each grant has an individual endowment of 2,500 euros in order to cover the study and research work related to the papers to be submitted as well as the necessary mobility of the applicant involved in the process. These papers must be presented in the framework of the Carlos V European Award Multidisciplinary Studies Doctoral Seminar on Contemporary Europe and that will take place at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste during 2025. The research work carried out under the call will be published in a joint work by Yuste Foundation.

Becas Doctorales de Investigación y Movilidad en Estudios Europeos del Premio Europeo Carlos V – Angela Merkel

 

La Fundación Yuste abre el plazo para optar a 18 “Becas Europeas de Investigación y Movilidad en Estudios Europeos Premio Europeo Carlos V – Angela Merkel” con una dotación individual de 2500 euros.

El tema de esta edición es “La fortuna de estar unidos: garantizar y fortalecer la cohesión de Europa”.

 

Las personas beneficiarias deben estar matriculadas en un programa de doctorado y encontrarse en la fase de preparación de la tesis doctoral en Historia, Ciencias Políticas, Economía, Derecho, y otras disciplinas de las Ciencias Humanas y Sociales, así como otras ramas de la ciencia, sobre un tema relacionado con el objeto y orientación establecidas en la convocatoria. También es necesario acreditar el conocimiento del inglés o español con un nivel igual o superior al B2 del MCERL.

 

El plazo para la presentación de solicitudes acaba el día 18 de febrero de 2025.

Cada beca tiene una dotación individual de 2.500 euros para financiar el estudio y la investigación de las contribuciones, así como la movilidad necesaria para la realización de las mismas, que deben presentarse en el marco de un Seminario Doctoral Premio Europeo Carlos V de Estudios Pluridisciplinares sobre la Europa Contemporánea que se organizará a lo largo del 2025 en el Monasterio de San Jerónimo de Yuste. Los trabajos de investigación realizados en el marco de la convocatoria serán publicados en una obra conjunta por la Fundación Yuste.
