[Archport] e-Dicionario da Terra e do Territorio no Imperio Portugues

Temos o prazer de anunciar o lançamento do e-Dicionário da Terra e do Território no Império Português (e-DITTIP), disponível aqui.

Trata-se de um dicionário histórico electrónico, de acesso livre online, em permanente actualização, sobre temas relacionados, em sentido lato, com a terra, os direitos de propriedade e a organização do espaço nos vários territórios que incorporaram o antigo Império Português, entre os séculos XV e XX.

Dirigido por José Vicente Serrão, Márcia Motta e Susana Münch Miranda, conta com a colaboração de múltiplos autores, maioritariamente de universidades portuguesas e brasileiras.

O e-DITTIP é uma iniciativa do projecto “Lands Over Seas: property rights in the early modern Portuguese Empire”, financiado pela FCT (PTDC/HIS-HIS/113654/2009).

We are pleased to announce the new e-Dictionary of Land and Territory in the Portuguese Empire, which is an open-access online dictionary of history, published in Portuguese language as e-Dicionário da Terra e do Território no Império Português (e-DITTIP). Full access here.

Featuring around 300 concise entries, e-DITTIP intends to cover all aspects related to land, agriculture, property rights, occupation and organization of the territory in every region that once incorporated the former Portuguese empire. Concepts, individuals, plants and crops, legal terms, institutions, social and ethnic groups, types of properties, taxes, landholding titles, territories and places – these are some of the categories covered by this Dictionary. Its chronology extends from the 15th to the 20th century.

Edited and coordinated by José Vicente Serrão, Márcia Motta and Susana Münch Miranda, e-DITTIP counts on the contribution of multiple authors, mostly from Portuguese and Brazilian universities.

e-DITTIP is a product created within the framework of the FCT research project “Lands Over Seas: property rights in the early modern Portuguese Empire” (PTDC/HIS-HIS/113654/2009).
