Required Background: PhD in Engineering or Applied Mathematics,
preferably with 3 years of post-doc research experience

Research field: Process Systems Engineering (Supply-chain)

Job offer:
Individual job contract for a period up to 5 years, with a gross
salary equivalent to an assistant researcher (at 2009 prices: approximately
45000 euro/year, before tax and social security deductions).

Brief job description: The researcher will join on-going work in the area
of optimal design of supply-chains at the strategic and tactical/operational
levels. These include networks for energy distribution, for industrial
residual products recovery and close-loop logistic chains for reuse of
wasted consumer goods. Related issues considered are the handling of
environmental impacts, uncertainty, energy planning and multi-objective
decisions.
